Mp3 Player Issues(Creative Labs Zen Stone Plus)

Okay, today is more of a real tech post and a question for my readers. Back in 2007(late, I know) I got my first mp3 player. Creative Stone Plus, to be exact. I love it, though the battery charge doesn’t last long. Which sucks for me, but I still use it.
However, since last month my battery will not charge fully. So I think my battery is dying on me. Now, I have no idea what it will cost to send it in to get it replaced and for them to ship it back. I guess I should look into it, however I dread to know how much it will cost.
So my question is, should I try to get the battery replaced or should I buy a better mp3 player thats battery lasts longer(I am think iPod, since my sister has one and the battery is still good)? I even posted something about on twitter, though I do not think creative labs has a twitter account nor will they find my post…..
Thanks in advance.

Actually I had a Creative as my first mp3 player, too! I still have a soft spot for Creatives, as I remember the first night when I brought mine home. I LOVED it! I had the little 2gb white Creative Zen V. Little thing. But I LOVED it. But unfortunately, the battery went on mine, too. I think I would have had to pay $12 for calling tech support and about $40 or so if I chose to get it fixed. However, I just suffered and used it for an hour or so then charged it again… back and forth. It would only charge halfway but I still loved it.
But now I’ve got a purple nanochromatic iPod from ’07 and LOVE it. I don’t know if you have a Mac or not, I’m assuming you don’t, because you still have a Creative, but I got my Mac last January and my Creative didn’t sync with my Mac… so I had to get an iPod. Seriously, once you switch over–even to a shuffle–you’ll love it. I mean, I wouldn’t recommend a Shuffle, because there’s no screen.
But yeah now I have 2 iPods.. an old 40gb white one–the first one with a click wheel–and the Nano and plan on adding a Touch to the collection.
Just break down, get an iPod, get a little buyer’s remorse, keep it for some time and realize you’ll never go back. I think it’s time to move on . . . haha. The money you’d invest in fixing the Creative isn’t worth it, because it’s still going to get old again.
Sorry this is so long, but I’m trying to make it real obvious how much I like my iPod

I think when it comes to purchasing the MP3 players, you’re probably paying most for the battery power. Hey, I could be wrong though.

Go for a new one. Buy an iPod. Good Luck!
